nDetail Job Description:
àAssemble and distribute Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Proposals (RFPs) as needed to procure items or benchmark current sources.
àCreate Requests for Information (RFI) and RFQ, perform bid analysis, review findings, and provide recommendations on service, quality, cost, and delivery.
àReview and analyze purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with Talus requirements.
àProcess purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs) and change orders (COs) in support of indirect purchasing needs.
àReview quotes and proposals from suppliers and negotiate as needed to ensure the best pricing and service for the company regarding services, supplies, materials or equipment.
àMonitor POs and work schedules with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
àFrequent communication with suppliers by email, phone and/or in person, to discuss requirements, get status/schedule updates and to resolve any open issues.
àWork with the Indirect Purchasing Manager to achieve required performance levels and to identify cost, quality, delivery schedule, and service improvement opportunities.
àAdminister business transactions with suppliers, including placing purchase orders, scheduling supplier deliveries, reconciling purchase price variances, obtaining return goods authorization, reconciling discrepant invoices and order confirmation variances.
àWork with suppliers, accounting, and stakeholders to resolve any payment, service, or supply discrepancies that occur.
àWork with stakeholders in the organization to set up new suppliers as needed.
àLead the execution of onboarding new suppliers as need for supplies, projects or services.
 
nEducation:
àBachelors degree or equivalent
àPurchasing Certification in one of the following areas is a plus:
nCertified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
nCertified International Procurement Professional (CIPP or CIAPP)
nMember of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS)
 
nSkill:
àStrong written/verbal communication and negotiating skills in English & Chinese (Mandarin)
àMinimum 7 years related work experience in Indirect Purchasing (for supplies & services)
àStrong computer application skills; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
àSelf-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
àTeam player with strong inter-personal and cross team communication
àGood expertise and ability to influence requestors to achieve best results for Talus
àCost sensitive, good knowledge of supplier management and supplies/services experience
àAbility to perform strategic sourcing for required services or supplies, with learning agility
